November 2008 Bilesim completed the essential phase of KGS project gathering two functions in one plastic. KGS firstly launched enabling contactless prepaid card and magnetic stripe credit card usage on the terminals along the highways and two bridges in Turkey . After the EMV migration, new enhancements for PIN security were needed on credit KGS since it is also used for purchase and cash advance. Therefore magnetic stripe credit KGS converted into a chip KGS in addition to its contactless chip found inside the plastic itself. KGS credit card has now dual chip. Recently, the card technology has focused on contactless infrastructure which opens gates to more functional features for purchase and cash transactions processings. In line with the sectoral developments, Bilesim will be continuing to work on projects based on productions and creations of new financial and nonfinancial solutions on multifunctional cards.
